Widowed four years ago, Kelly Matherson has adjusted to life as a single mother, and her six year old son, James, is her greatest blessing. Their comfortable routine is interrupted when her late husband’s parents contact her out of the blue, after nine years of total silence. Promising to explain everything, they request that Kelly bring James to visit them at their Texas ranch.

As they overcome obstacles and start to see a future together, one final snag causes Kelly to question their happy ending. Is Will actually better off without her? Is she strong enough to give him up?

I loved this story! So refreshing to read a book in this genre that isn't overly sweet and predictable. Characters are well developed, real, and fallible. They face temptation, they make mistakes, and they seek forgiveness in their walk with God and each other. Yes, there is a very minor amount of swearing but it's not gratuitous offensive.Product details

Plan to be up all night if you start this book because you will not be able to put it down!! You will fall in love with all the characters, they are so down to earth and believable. And Will is the absolute dream guy! While there are some emotional parts, you will be smiling as you read. The author has a great sense of humor and I can't wait to read her next book. Highly recommended!
This is a good clean book. No sex or foul language. The characters were likeable and you can relate to them. Sometimes things ran a little to smoothly. But over all a good read.
This is the best book I have read in a long while. I did not want the story to end. I want to read about Kelly and Will until they are old and in their rocking chairs. Please write several sequels.
I love every book I have read of hers. From beginning to end, this story drew me in and didn’t let go.
I enjoyed this book. One of the things I liked was that you got a mixture of problems and satisfying solutions throughout the book instead of obstacle after obstacle only to be resolved at the end. I loved the characters and could feel their pain and joy.
Very moving and wonderfully written. If you like a western themed romance this is a very enjoyable book. Overcoming obstacles of long distance, age difference and past history this book is a happy ending
I knew from the first chapter I would enjoy this book. The characters are very real. They are Christians but have areas of their lives that God is still working on. It is a book about family and about forgiveness. Character development is very important to me when I am reading a book and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters in in this story. I will definitely buy more books from this author.
